Job summary

Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital in Tacoma, WA is hiring a .75 FTE Environmental Services Tech to join our team. The role involves maintaining a clean, sanitary environment across patient care and administrative areas on 10-hour shifts.

You will adhere to infection control policies, manage medical waste per regulatory requirements, and use EPIC to document daily progress. Collaboration with staff and compliance with HIPAA are essential in this fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must have effective oral / written English communication skills to perform job.
• Ability to independently utilize a computer and enter data multiple times per day

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate cleaning techniques, supplies, and safety precautions in cleaning assigned area and equipment.
• Adhere to and demonstrate knowledge for all infection control policies and procedures required to maintain the patient care environment.
• Dispose of all medical waste, (regular, recyclable, and regulated) appropriately. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements for correct waste segregation.
• Use EPIC to track progress of all work completed throughout the day.
• Work closely with other staff to obtain or provide routine information, submit work orders, request supplies, and schedule maintenance work.
• Follow HIPAA and Privacy laws
