Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and floor care techniques.
• Ability to safely handle biohazardous and infectious waste per infection control standards.
• Familiarity with equipment cleaning and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing.
• Collect and dispose of waste, following hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Handle soiled linens and replace with clean bags.
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Respond to spills and perform contamination cleanups with proper disinfection.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance.
• Monitor supply usage and ensure safe storage of cleaning products.
• Communicate maintenance and repair needs to supervisors.
• Maintain cleaning logs and document completed tasks.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.
