• Administer advanced protocols to control severe pain, respiratory distress, and terminal agitation.
• Track the immediate effectiveness of comfort measures and adjust care in real time.
• Coordinate with physicians, social workers, and chaplains to manage the inpatient plan of care.
• Communicate status changes to physicians to secure and update medical orders.
• Educate families on the active dying process and provide emotional reassurance during crises.
