Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient, outpatient, and professional encounters accurately using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provide interdepartmental coding assistance to determine accurate codes.
• Develop compliant coding processes aligned with CMS and CPT guidelines.
• Audit and monitor coding for accuracy and assist with external audits as needed.
• Serve as a coding expert and liaison to billing staff to ensure proper charges.
