Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Locum Hepatology Physician to provide inpatient hepatology coverage in a high-volume academic-affiliated center. Focus is on general hepatology with no transplant responsibilities, supported by an experienced team and robust hospital infrastructure.

Ideal candidates hold an MD or DO with Internal Medicine residency and Hepatology/Gastroenterology fellowship, board-certified or eligible. Locum scheduling options are flexible.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited School of Medicine
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency
• Fellowship training in Hepatology or Gastroenterology with a hepatology-focused practice
• Transplant hepatology training is not required
• Board certified or board eligible per Medical Staff requirements

Responsibilities

• General hepatology inpatient coverage only
• Care of hospitalized patients with liver disease, cirrhosis, portal hypertension, viral hepatitis, alcohol-related liver disease, and related conditions
• No transplant hepatology responsibilities (no pre- or post–liver transplant patient management)
