Job summary

Skywood Recovery is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead daily inpatient operations, drive quality and performance, and ensure regulatory readiness. The role collaborates with the CEO and department leaders to optimize patient flow and outcomes in a high‑acuity environment.

The COO oversees admissions, staffing coordination, and bed management, develops KPIs, and champions a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all inpatient services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's required, Master's preferred.
• 3-5 years of related work experience required, 5-8 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides executive oversight of inpatient hospital operations to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care and drives collaboration among leaders.
• Oversees daily hospital operations including admissions, patient flow, bed management, census optimization, discharge coordination, staffing coordination, and readiness.
• Ensures readiness for Joint Commission, state licensing, and regulatory audits; promotes survey readiness.
• Facilitates collaboration across clinical, nursing, plant ops, risk, HR, finance, and development to eliminate silos and support patient care.
• Develops, monitors, and reports KPIs like census, admission conversion, LOS, patient satisfaction, incident trends, productivity, and quality.
• Coaches and mentors department directors; sets operational expectations and drives accountability.
