Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA) for an inpatient General Surgery service at Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. The role supports general surgery, urology, and vascular surgery patients with night shifts on a 12-hour schedule.

The successful candidate will hold IL PA licensure and DEA, with an MS in a surgical specialty and BLS/CPR certification. Experience is preferred; new grads are welcome to train. Inpatient, full-time role with weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• License: Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
• Education: Completion of master's level program in specialty area
• Certification: BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health care services for general surgery, urology, and vascular surgery patients.
• First assist in emergent operations for general surgery, vascular surgery, urology, and cesarean sections.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies; follow patients through hospital course.
• Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
