Job summary

You will participate in weekend/holiday rounding as assigned and support outpatient clinics as needed. Eligible candidates have a PA license, DEA license, and GI experience preferred; strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.

Scope Of Practice

This position is primarily hospital-based and includes:

• Performing comprehensive patient histories and assessments
• Daily rounding on hospitalized patients
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Managing consults and coordinating care
• Participating in weekend and holiday rounding as assigned
• Supporting outpatient clinic care as needed

Patient Population

The primary patient population includes adult inpatients, with occasional pediatric consults as clinically appropriate.

Training & Support

The selected candidate will complete a structured onboarding program that includes:

• Physician shadowing
• Inpatient workflow orientation
• Ongoing mentorship

Training is tailored to experience level, with gradual increases in patient care responsibilities. Independent rounding and call duties will begin upon physician-approved competency. Performance evaluations will occur at 90 days, 6 months, and annually.
