Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an EVS Associate - In Patient to perform daily cleaning in patient areas, offices, public and other non-patient areas. This role focuses on respectful communication with patients and staff while maintaining clean, safe environments across units such as NICU, PACU, ICU and inpatient areas.

Responsibilities include multi-step cleaning, floor care, responding to emergencies, assisting with moves and setup, and following waste handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Some High School required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning in patient areas, offices and non-patient areas, following standard procedures.
• Performs dry/wet mopping and floor care, including carpet bonneting and extracting.
• Responds to discharges, spills, floods and emergencies; handles patient equipment and moves as needed.
• Stores and handles waste according to department procedures; reports inventory and equipment issues.
