Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an EVS Associate - In Patient to perform cleaning in patient areas, NICU, ICU, and related spaces. The role includes discharge cleaning, equipment cleaning, and supporting the care team with a respectful, patient-centered approach.

The position runs Monday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM and requires basic computer skills and 0–1 years of related experience. Training on hospital protocols will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School required or equivalent.
• 0–1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning in patient areas, offices, public and non-patient areas.
• Cleans equipment and handles discharge cleaning and other special tasks.
• Uses floor care machines for dry/wet mopping and carpet care.
• Responds to urgent cleaning requests and hospital-wide needs.
• Cleans patient equipment and assists with moves and setup as needed.
• Manages waste and ensures proper disposal of contaminated materials.
• Reports low supplies and equipment issues to supervisor.
• Keeps cleaning carts organized and equipment stored properly.
