Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in San Juan, PR is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across dialysis modalities, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and Apheresis, in partnership with contracted hospitals. The RN will follow FMCNA policies and ensure patient safety and quality care.

You will supervise Patient Care Technicians, collaborate with physicians and ICU staff, document treatments, and participate in ongoing education and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applicable US state.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; nephrology experience preferred.
• BLS CPR required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in multiple dialysis modalities including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and Apheresis.
• Supervise Patient Care Technicians and clerical staff; educate ICU staff for CRRT.
• Assess patients’ responses to treatment and adjust plans as directed by physicians.
• Document all treatments in ACES and hospital records; maintain accurate records.
• Maintain dialysis machines and related equipment; ensure clean, safe environment between treatments.
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training; act as subject matter expert for dialysis-related issues.
