Job summary

UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for inpatient roles in the SRMC department. The role focuses on critical care procedures, including independent practice, with required ACLS/PALS credentials and the ability to manage neonate to geriatric patients.

The position is nights, full-time, with opportunities for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. The APP will lead clinical decisions, mentor staff, and contribute to education and research

Qualifications

• 1 year directly related experience.
• Accredited Advanced Practice Nurse credential and NM APRN license required.
• Night shift availability and ability to work in a high-acuity inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Develop and participate in educational activities for staff and patients.
• Identify and report safety concerns and potential medical errors.
• Provide patient care: assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans within scope.
• Document orders and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
• Order and interpret diagnostic procedures and tests; explain preparations and effects to patients.
