Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for inpatient care on a full-time Monday–Friday schedule with one mandatory weekend shift per month.

The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement high-level therapeutic group sessions for medically complex patients, including stroke, brain injury, SCI, and orthopedic conditions, with emphasis on return to function.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment or as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement high-level therapeutic group sessions in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team for medically complex patients (stroke, brain injury, SCI, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary).
• Assist with implementation of the therapy plan of care under supervision of the OT.
• Coordinate with supervising OT regarding schedules, assessments, and reassessments.
• Educate patients, families, students, coworkers and self; participate in education activities.
