Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years coding inpatient records in an acute care setting.
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or ability to achieve certification within 2 years.
• Proficient in Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for coding and facility charge process for inpatient accounts.
• Educates medical and clinical staff on appropriate documentation practices.
• Works closely with clinical documentation improvement initiatives.
