Job summary

FusionHCR is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder to code complex inpatient records for accurate reimbursement and data integrity. The role requires strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and IPPS guidelines.

Candidates should have a CCS and RHIA/RHIT certifications and at least 3 years of inpatient coding in an acute-care setting. This is an in-person position in Las Vegas, NV.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years inpatient coding experience in an acute-care hospital setting.
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), RHIA, RHIT certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code and abstract inpatient medical records.
• Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify coding discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Review coding-related denials and perform follow-up.
• Perform data collection, manipulation, retrieval, and analysis.
• Run queries and prepare technical reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Communicate coding issues to stakeholders.
