JOB SUMMARY
Under moderate supervision, this role is primarily responsible for reviewing and analyzing inpatient medical record documentation. Based on official coding guidelines, apply ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes to ensure appropriate reimbursement and compliance with regulatory coding requirements for inpatient services in an acute care hospital setting. The focus is on Medical and Surgical encounters, supporting coding for Diagnostic Radiology, Orthopedic, Spine & Vascular cases, and working with Inpatient Billing and CHIME Edits.
