Job summary

New Hampshire Hospital in Concord, NH, part of Dartmouth Health and Geisel School of Medicine, seeks a licensed doctoral Psychologist to join our psychiatry faculty serving in an inpatient setting.

The role centers on violence risk assessment, comprehensive psychological evaluations, clinical consultation, and education within a multidisciplinary team. Opportunities exist for supervision, teaching, research, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology and APA/CPA‑accredited internship.
• Experience with inpatient populations and violence risk assessment is highly desirable.
• Teaching, supervision, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological assessment including risk assessments, with emphasis on violence risk in inpatient populations.
• Develop integrated formulations using interviews, testing, and collateral information to inform treatment and risk management.
• Provide expert consultation and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct specialized risk assessments (violence, sexual violence, suicide) and provide risk consultation.
• Offer supervision and mentorship to psychology interns/students and contribute to education and research.
• Complete clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and reports.
