Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a licensed, doctoral-level Psychologist to join the New Hampshire Hospital in Concord, NH. The role focuses on inpatient psychology services, including evaluations, risk assessments, therapy, consultation, and supervision within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will contribute to clinical care, education, and research while collaborating with psychiatrists, APRNs, residents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program.
• Completion of a predoctoral internship from an APA- or CPA-accredited internship program.
• Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship from an APPIC accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Administer and analyze psychological test batteries and clinical assessments with acute psychiatric inpatients.
• Provide expert clinical consultation and treatment recommendations to multidisciplinary teams.
• Determine and provide psychological interventions including crisis assessment and management, individual therapy, group therapy, and behavioral interventions.
• Provide clinical supervision of doctoral level psychology interns and graduate students.
• Consult with treatment teams about management of patients with challenging behaviors, such as self-harm or aggression.
• Complete timely progress notes, documentation treatment plan objectives and interventions, and other documentation.
• Contribute to the educational mission of the hospital by leading case discussions and presentations.
• Attend and contribute to educational activities led by colleagues.
• Develop or collaborate on research projects.
