Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Doctorate in pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school or NABP FPGEC.
• Licensed in Georgia or eligible for reciprocity.
• No experience required.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification may be required based on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, handling, and administration.
• Designs, recommends, monitors, and evaluates patient-specific regimens and implements recommendations.
• Reviews and interprets medication orders and prescriptions.
• Participates in medical emergencies and supports medication safety and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborates on formulary adherence and acquisition of non-formulary and investigational meds.
• Precepts students and mentors staff; assists with performance evaluations.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
