Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a clinical pharmacist for the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, CO. This is an intermittent PRN inpatient-focused position serving veterans on inpatient units, dialysis, ED, imaging, rehab programs, and outpatient clinics.

The pharmacist must hold ACPE-accredited Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy, full licensure, and English proficiency, with preferred VA/inpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: U.S. citizen or as allowed by VA policy.
• Education: ACPE-accredited Pharm.D. or BS Pharmacy degree.
• Licensure: Full, current and unrestricted pharmacist license.
• English language proficiency: Must be proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve veterans on inpatient units, interventional platform, dialysis, imaging, ED, residential rehab programs, CLC and outpatient clinics.
• Provide pharmaceutical care and patient counseling on acute and chronic therapies.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to optimize medication safety and efficacy.
