Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA seeks a part-time Clinical Pharmacist to provide safe, effective, and prompt pharmacy services. You will participate in the medication-use system, manage patient drug therapy, and offer in-depth patient counseling in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required; Doctorate preferred.
• Virginia Pharmacist License required.
• Inpatient acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Residency PGY1/PGY2 trained preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective pharmacy services within assigned areas.
• Manage patient drug therapy per clinical standards.
• Counsel patients and educate staff on drug information.
• Precept pharmacy students as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacotherapy and disease states.
