The position offers a rotating 8-hour shift with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in medication-use process improvements within a Magnet-recognized health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred.
• Virginia Pharmacist License required.
• BLS preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Residency PGY1/PGY2 trained preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and prompt pharmacy services.
• Participates in the medication-use system and pharmaceutical care for patients.
• Ensure appropriateness of provider medication orders for high-quality patient care and safety.
• Maintain knowledge of medications and disease states relevant to practice.
• Serve as primary drug information resource and educator.
• Provide in-depth patient counseling when required.
• Precept pharmacy students as assigned.
• Support tasks and adapt to changing responsibilities.
