The role provides advanced clinical pharmacy services in inpatient settings and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to optimize pharmacotherapy and ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include verifying orders, making pharmacotherapy recommendations, participating in rounds, and educating patients and staff on safe medication use and treatment

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist Licensure in the State of North Dakota.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Typing skills necessary.
• Verbal and numeric ability necessary.
• Manual and finger dexterity necessary.
• Ability to apply knowledge of pharmacy and pharmacology in interpreting and filling physician's orders.

Responsibilities

• Verify and assess medication orders for safety, accuracy, and clinical appropriateness.
• Provide pharmacotherapy recommendations to prescribers and interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in clinical rounds, consultations, and transitions of care activities.
• Educate patients and staff on medication use, safety standards, and treatment expectations.
• Monitor therapeutic outcomes and adjust recommendations based on evidence and guidelines.
