Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy or FPGEC certificate.
• No experience required; residency or hospital experience preferred.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmaceutical care and evaluates therapy regimens based on biomedical literature.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adverse effects, and adherence.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific pharmacotherapeutic regimens and documents appropriately.
• Reviews medication orders; participates in medical emergencies and safety programs.
• Supports formulary management, procurement of non-formulary meds, and regulatory compliance.
• Precepts students and mentors pharmacy teammates; ensures safe workflows.
• Ensures age-appropriate care and compliance with department policies and regulations.
