Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed in GA or eligible for reciprocity.
• Immunization and non-vaccine injectable certification required by practice area.
• Credentialing and privileging required based on area of practice.
• Education: PharmD or Bachelor’s in pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school; NABP FPGEC acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees provision of safe and effective pharmaceutical care per regional guidelines.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medication therapy, adherence, and safety.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific regimens using current literature and policies.
• Reviews medication orders and prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
• Participates in medical emergencies and supports medication safety initiatives.
• Contributes to formulary management and procurement of non-formulary meds as needed.
• Ensures compliance with all organizational policies and state/federal regs.
• Prepares, dispenses, and oversees proper storage/handling of medications.
• Acts as a preceptor and mentors pharmacy staff and students.

Education
