Job summary

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted Rhode Island pharmacist licensure; 90-day temporary license followed by full licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications within 120 days of hire for emergency code blue responsibilities.
• PGY-1 residency completed; PGY-2 preferred for specialty areas.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and dispense medications per orders following policies and standards.
• Review orders for completeness, therapeutic appropriateness, dosing, allergies, and interactions.
• Provide drug information and consultation to prescribers, nurses, and staff.
• Supervise pharmacy interns and technicians to maintain performance standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, medication safety, and transitions of care.
