Job summary

TJ Regional Health is seeking a licensed pharmacist to dispense medications per physician orders and monitor therapy for safety and effectiveness. The role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

The pharmacist will review orders, provide drug information, and participate in patient-care activities across age groups, under the supervision of Pharmacy Services leadership.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with B.S. or Pharm.D. degree and Kentucky licensure.
• Evidence of meeting state mandated continuing education requirements upon request.
• Hospital pharmacy experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately under physician orders.
• Monitor drug therapy for appropriateness of drug, dose, route and duration.
• Screen for drug interactions, incompatibilities and contraindications.
• Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and patients.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and other patient-care activities.
• Cares for all age group patients.
