Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to oversee medication distribution within their area and ensure drug therapy is indicated, effective, safe, and convenient for patients.

The role involves ensuring policy compliance, participating in quality improvement, and mentoring residents and students within the Jefferson Health system, including potential cross-site responsibilities in PA and NJ.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or PharmD required; PA/NJ licensure as applicable.
• Knowledge of pharmacokinetic principles for dosing and monitoring.
• Experience identifying and documenting adverse drug events and medication errors.
• Promotes formulary compliance and hospital policies.
• Able to provide age-appropriate care across patient populations.
• Licensed Pharmacist (PA or NJ) in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Oversees medication distribution in their area.
• Ensures appropriateness of drug therapy and policy compliance.
• Interacts with staff and patients to support safe medication use.
• Trains residents, interns, technicians, and new pharmacists.
• Precepts students and supports the Preceptor Development program.
