Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT, is seeking a pharmacist to join the inpatient team.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective medication therapy across a 286-bed facility, with pharmacists working directly in patient care areas. The role emphasizes clinical decision-making, collaboration, and adherence to regulatory requirements, with a focus on quality patient care and ongoing professional

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice.
Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes for pharmacy.
Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

Reviews patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication, appropriateness, and interactions.
Oversees and/or ensures timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas.
Provides counseling to patients and promotes medication education and adherence.
Completes regulatory training and complies with laws and SOPs.
Supervises interns, technicians, and support personnel as required.
Provides clinical consultation to health professionals.
Identifies and solves problems related to equipment, maintenance, and staffing.
Identifies areas for process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
Participates in departmental meetings and supports leadership initiatives.
