Job summary

Henry Ford Health West Bloomfield is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Inpatient Advance Drug Therapy for a full-time Day shift in West Bloomfield. You will work under a pharmacist to prepare chemotherapy and other special medications, transcribe orders, and maintain accurate dispensing records.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, and a Michigan Pharmacy Technician license, plus at least one year of hospital or retail pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required.
• At least 1 year of hospital or retail pharmacy technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and pre-pack chemotherapy medications and other medications requiring special handling.
• Read and transcribe prescription orders and prepare medication labels.
• Maintain records of medications dispensed and prepare drug therapy monitoring forms.
• Restock dispensing areas and maintain aseptic conditions in the work area.
• Assist in training hospital personnel on safe handling of chemotherapeutic agents.
