Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Inpatient Central Pharmacy. The role supports pharmacists with preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications in the new Jim Ayers Tower satellite.
Hours are 2:00pm–10:30pm, Monday through Friday, with every 3rd weekend rotation. Cross-training across pharmacy operations and shift differentials are offered.

Performs tasks within the pharmacy in direct support of the ongoing duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist with occasional guidance. Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of a final dosage form for administration to a patient and are directly supervised by a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triaging calls to the appropriate person if they cannot answer the requested information. Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
This position will primarily be located in the new pharmacy satellite in the Jim Ayers Tower, which has opened as of June 2026.
Hours are Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm.
Every 3rd weekend rotation.
Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered.
This position will allow you to cross-train across all pharmacy operations including managing central pharmacy workflows, delivering medications to Omnicell's, preparing sterile products, and supporting OR pharmacy.
