Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh is seeking staff to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct patient care unit coordination. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• 2 weeks of training for candidates with limited or no experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as ADLs, vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, I&O, and monitoring of glucose.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives and promotes safety and cleanliness.
• Documents vital signs, weights, I&O, restraints, specimens, and all treatments; reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in unit activity such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
