Job summary

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, MD seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiology Hospitalist to join our collaborative cardiovascular team. This inpatient role focuses on providing comprehensive cardiovascular care within a well-established program and working with APPs, cardiologists, surgeons, and other specialists.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Echocardiography, and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) training required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Managing inpatient cardiology services in collaboration with APPs
• Performing inpatient consultations
• Rounding on hospitalized cardiology patients
• Coordinating care with interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, hospitalists, and other specialists
• Caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and efforts to optimize patient care delivery
• Contributing to physician and staff education
