Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our team. The position offers a hiring incentive up to $26,000 and a minimum starting rate of $41.41 per hour, with higher rates for experienced nurses and up to $7 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

The role includes assessments, care planning, and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team in a clinical setting. Graduate from Nursing specialty program is required; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family.
• Formulates, coordinates, and provides plan of care with education and discharge planning.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises plan of care.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Troubleshoots equipment and ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Participates in unit-based decision-making and quality/safety activities.
