Baxter Health in Mountain Home, AR seeks a Behavioral Health Therapist for the Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit with responsibilities across adult and geriatric psychiatric inpatient services. The role focuses on psycho-social assessment, intervention, and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team.

The unit manages 16 beds for adults 18+ and 19 beds for geriatric patients 55+. Requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, BLS certification, and CPI certification within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree in an accredited Social Work program.
• Experience: Minimum of two year experience is preferred.
• Certification: BLS required. Crisis Prevention Institute certificate required within 3 months of employment.
• Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.

Responsabilités

• Provide coverage for inpatient adult and geriatric psychiatric units.
• Provides comprehensive psycho-social assessment, intervention, management, support, and assess for discharge planning and aftercare needs of the at-risk patient population and their families.
• Completes initial assessments on patients and updates treatment plan as necessary.
• Other assigned duties and tasks based on operational needs.
