Job summary

UCHealth (Colorado) seeks a Mental Health Therapist in Pueblo, CO. The role is 40 hours weekly, full-time (0.9 FTE) with day shifts in a behavioral health setting at Parkview Medical Center. Pay ranges $18.40–$27.60/hour, based on experience.

Under RN supervision, you will maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu for inpatients, ED, or ambulatory behavioral health patients, participating in milieu management and teamwork with care providers.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; UCHealth-administered competency test acceptable in lieu of HS/GED.
• Bachelor's degree in behavioral health field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment in collaboration with the care team.
• Monitor and document patient coping mechanisms; provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Contribute input and recommendations to the clinical team to shape the plan of care and assist in its execution.
• Report changes in patient condition to the care team per guidelines.
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, applying critical thinking and decisive judgement.
