Job summary

Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital - Behavioral Health, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician for inpatient care in White Hall, AR. The role requires 1 year of psychiatric inpatient experience and may prefer CNA and BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses/Certification: CNA preferred. BLS, preferred
• Required Experience: 1 year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Assumes personal responsibility for maintaining professional development such as BLS and CPI.
• Observes and monitors patient's status according to patient monitoring standards, policies and procedures.
• Reports patient complaints or other concerns in a timely manner.
• Provides verbal and written input to nursing staff via ongoing reporting and end of shift report.
• Demonstrates proficiency in providing care, de-escalation, and CPI techniques; assists with activities of daily living and discharge procedures.
• Co-leads patient psycho-educational groups and participates in unit programming.
• Lead or participate in management of acute behavioral episodes using de-escalation techniques.

Education
