Job summary

Vail Health Behavioral Health seeks an Inpatient Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) for the Precourt Healing Center in Edwards, CO. This full-time, day shift role provides direct patient care in a supportive, therapeutic environment under clinical supervision.

You will monitor patients, document vital signs and progress, support treatment plans, and collaborate with the care team. Requires BLS and crisis intervention training; two years of related experience preferred; competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Two years of direct patient care or community behavioral health experience preferred.
• Experience with crisis intervention and management of acute psychiatric conditions preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or equivalent training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including obtaining and recording vital signs and assisting with daily living activities.
• Monitors and develops curriculum for group and individual patient engagement with the treatment team.
• Documents patient behaviors and progress in medical records; reports changes to nursing/clinical staff.
• Collaborates with the PHC treatment team to discuss patient care and care plans.
• Maintains a clean, stocked, and safe patient care environment; supports shift opening/closing procedures.
