Job summary

Universal Health Services in Clive, IA seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to join the treatment team. This role provides continuous patient care under the supervision of an RN, supporting crisis management, stabilization and recovery plans for diverse age groups.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED; CNA preferred, with two years of related psychiatric care experience. CPR certification and MB Training are required; weekend and night shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; CNA preferred; degree in social work or therapeutic discipline desirable.
• Two years of related experience with psychiatric patient care preferred.
• CPR certification and Management Aggressive Behavior Training; Mandatory Reporter.
• Shifts available: 7am-7pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm & 7pm-7am.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care, supervision and interaction as part of the treatment team.
• Work with patients ranging from preschool through geriatrics under RN supervision.
• Model positive behavior and support the treatment plan.
• Collaborate with nurses and other staff to ensure patient safety and recovery.
