Job summary

Truman Medical Centers' Center for Behavioral Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Behavioral Health unit on the Weekend Alternative Days schedule.

This part-time role (24 hours weekly, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM) involves assessing patients, planning and evaluating care, delegating tasks, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Missouri RN license.
• Current BCLS certification.
• PRN: at least one year of medical/surgical experience or related specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care using expert skills.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Stay compliant with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and all organizational and regulatory requirements.
