Job summary

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and active LVN/LPN license in the state of employment.
• Compact licenses are acceptable.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care to assigned patients; reassesses per unit protocol under RN direction.
• Documents findings in patient records and communicates assessment results with the care team.
• Implements care interventions per multidisciplinary plan; performs prescribed nursing procedures.
• Conducts bedside labs and wound care; assists with activities of daily living.
• Supports patient coping and adaptation to illness and stress.
• Provides age-appropriate, culturally sensitive communication and notes special needs.
• Delivers medications safely per policy; confirms doses and educates patients.
• Follows up on responsibilities; transcribes orders and audits charts for accuracy.
• Uses nursing knowledge to meet facility needs and promote evidence-based practice.
• Preceptor to new staff; performs other duties as assigned.
