Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) seeks a Patient Care Manager to lead the inpatient behavioral health unit, ensuring staffing, quality care and regulatory compliance. You will supervise staff, monitor safety metrics, collaborate with physicians and agencies, and participate in on-call coverage as needed.

This role supports LMHS mission and community health in Newark, Ohio. BSN and Ohio RN license are required, with 4+ years in behavioral health and strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Ohio RN license required.
• 4+ years clinical nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health.
• Leadership or management experience preferred, including staffing and scheduling.
• Knowledge of behavioral health regulations and accreditation standards.
• Ability to perform direct patient-care responsibilities and safety procedures.
• Ability to monitor quality indicators and take corrective actions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily leadership and operational oversight for the inpatient behavioral health unit.
• Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and assists with direct nursing duties as needed.
• Monitors regulatory and accreditation requirements (TJC/DNV, ISO, Ohio DBH).
• Supervises staff performance, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and evaluations.
• Monitors quality indicators, investigates concerns, and implements corrective actions.
• Reviews patient satisfaction feedback and resolves concerns.
• Develops staff schedules and monitors staffing levels.
• Collaborates with leadership, departments, and community agencies to support goals.
