Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor-Inpatient for part-time night shifts (12-hour days, 24 hours per week, every other weekend) to join our multidisciplinary team at an inpatient unit.

Under supervision, you will provide patient assessments, supportive counseling, case management, discharge planning, and collaboration with other providers to develop individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health or related field required.
• CPR - Basic Life Support certification required.
• One year of outpatient/client interaction preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Screen and evaluate requests for service.
• Collect and report social history for cases.
• Intervene, stabilize, and manage acute crisis situations.
• Assess client needs, goals and resources; develop plans.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to implement plans.
• Provide case management, discharge planning, and referrals.
