Job summary

TeleSpecialists seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to deliver high-quality inpatient clinical care within hospital systems in collaboration with telemedicine teams. The APP will evaluate patients, support treatment plans, ensure care continuity, and document care within the hospital EMR.

Working with on-site and remote providers, you will help improve throughput and coordinate care while adhering to clinical protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications

• NP or PA license in the applicable state.
• 1–2 years inpatient/hospital-based experience preferred.
• Experience in neurology, internal medicine, critical care, or acute care preferred.
• Ability to obtain hospital credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person clinical support for hospital-based patients with TeleSpecialists teams.
• Conduct patient assessments, obtain histories, and perform examinations.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and document care plans.
• Assist with inpatient admissions, consults, rounding, and discharge coordination.
• Document encounters and treatment plans accurately in the EMR.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital leadership to coordinate care.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to supervising physicians.
• Support adherence to hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain knowledge of clinical protocols and organizational policies.
• Attend meetings and trainings as assigned.
