Job summary

Under physician supervision, you will assess patients, take histories, and write treatment plans in collaboration with the care team to support disease prevention and chronic/acute care management.

The candidate should hold a BA/BS plus NCCPA, BLS, and ACLS, with 3–4 years of PA experience and strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved technical or professional program with a BA/BS plus 2 years post-graduate evaluation.
• NCCPA certification and recertification every 6 years.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• ACLS certification.
• Physician Assistant license/credentialing.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in acute patient care in inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments, histories and physicals and writes treatment plans with supervising physician.
• Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork within the multi-disciplinary group.
• Manages acute inpatients and participates in quality assurance programs.
• Maintains ongoing continuing medical education credits.
