The role focuses on assessing, educating and developing recreational, social, leisure and daily living skills to support treatment goals.

Responsibilities include facilitating sessions, assisting with safety duties, and helping patients transfer skills to the community.

Qualifications

• CTRS certification or equivalent licensure.
• Bachelor-level or higher in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.

Responsabilités

• Lead activity and group programming for inpatient adults/adolescents.
• Assess and educate patients to develop leisure, social and daily living skills.
• Teach interactions with families in a socially constructive way.
• Develop productive skills for vocational and avocational activities.
• Assist nursing team with safety duties and community skill transfer.
