Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• Three+ years experience in recreation in healthcare.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Complete activity assessment via observation and interviews for treatment planning.
• Plan, organize, direct and implement activities to support goals.
• Lead activities including therapeutic leisure, education, and awareness.
• Facilitate sessions to improve mental and physical well-being.
• Instruct activities (sports, dance, art) to meet patient needs.
• Develop treatment plans and activity interventions aligned with goals.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities and social skills development.
• Modify activities to fit group needs and ensure safety.
