The role involves facilitating activities to improve mental and physical well-being, teaching leisure skills, and promoting social interaction in a compassionate, professional setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in recreation in a healthcare setting.
• CTRS or related certification; CPR, de-escalation and restraint training; First aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and implement activities within the treatment program to advance patient progress.
• Lead therapeutic groups and activities to promote self-expression and coping skills.
• Instruct patients in activities such as sports, dance, music, art or relaxation techniques.
