Job summary

Rainier Springs in Washington is seeking an Activity Therapist, Inpatient, per diem, to support clinical, operational and patient engagement goals within the inpatient program.

You will lead activity groups, document patient responses, coordinate with the Activity Therapist lead, and adapt activities to age and treatment plans. Strong communication with nursing staff and CPR/De-escalation requirements are essential. The role offers varied shifts within Lifepoint Health’s network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy preferred.
• CPR and De-escalation certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in psychiatric health care facility and with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports department with clinical, operational and administrative responsibilities.
• Provides activity groups and documents patient responses.
• Documents and adjusts interventions if patients miss groups.
• Conducts activities per protocol and coordinates with Activity Therapist lead.
• Maintains communication with Activity Therapist and nursing staff to support treatment goals.
