Job summary

Intel Foundry is seeking highly motivated Thin Films Metals Module Development Engineers to join the Technology Development organization in Hillsboro, Oregon. You will deliver metals process definition, development, and optimization for ALD, CVD, PVD, and related deposition methods to advance high-k/metal gate technologies.

Qualifications include a PhD in Materials Science/related STEM field and 1+ years in deposition tech, plus strong data analysis (JMP, Excel, Python, R, SQL).

Qualifications

  • PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or closely related STEM field.
  • With at least 1+ years of experience in one or more thin film deposition technologies such as ALD, CVD, PVD, sputtering, evaporation, electrochemical deposition, or related vacuum process technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Own thin film metal deposition process development across ALD, CVD, PVD, electrochemical deposition and related platforms.
  • Design, implement, and optimize processes to meet materials, device performance, yield, and control specs.
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to meet device requirements and rapid yield improvements.
  • Apply equipment operating principles, materials characterization and metrology to accelerate development.
  • Support screening/evaluation of novel materials and equipment; install/qualify first-of-kind equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process integration, device engineering, metrology, yield, manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Contribute to pathfinding for next-gen semiconductor technologies via materials evaluation and integration development.
